Best family campsites in Woolacombe

Woolacombe is a popular holiday destination in the UK and for good reason. With it’s wonderful beach that is popular with holiday goers and hardcore surfers alike, its unique status as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, fun crazy golf course and access to the South West Coast Path; it’s no surprise that campers from across the UK clamour to find a pitch in Woolacombe. For that reason, here is our recommendation for your search for family friendly campsites.

Twitchen House or Easewell Farm

Ran by the Woolacombe holiday parks company, which are associated with hotel style accommodation and their grand resorts, Twitchen House and Easewell Farm are two of the best campsites in Woolacombe.

You can pitch up with a tent or a Caravan at these two sites, make use of their bathrooms and other facilities that are much better than a regular campsite; and also enjoy the experiences that a holiday resort can offer.

If you are camping at one of these locations, you have the benefit of stunning views out onto the sea, and direct access to the beach that is owned and run by the Woolacombe company. Not every campsite is set against one of the UK’s most famous beaches!

What the sites have to offer

Beyond the wonderful landscapes that these sites have access to, the resorts give you plenty of opportunities for adrenaline filled, family-friendly action.  The resort has a selection of swimming venues that include an exhilarating water flume that kids and fun loving adults can enjoy equally. If you want to get outside, but are worried about losing your kids outside the resort, there are secure trails that you can explore by foot, on a Segway safari or by Zorb if you are feeling adventurous. If you have an appetite for heights, there is a thrilling climbing wall on the resort.

In the evenings if you want a break from your children, there are films shown at their fully-fledged Cinema that they can enjoy whilst you watch comedy at the site’s theatre.

Holidays can be intense and rather active, so sometimes you just want a chance to relax. These campsites have exactly what you need. There are well heated indoor pools you can chill in, top quality spa facilities to enter new levels of relaxation in; all whilst being near the Castaways pirate play pool if you have got young kids. This allows you to relax looking outside to one of the best views in the country, whilst your kids experience the legendary pool and pretend to be pirates.

If you’d rather not sweat yourself out in a sauna, there are other options for you to relax with. If you would like to tap into your artistic side, the resort offers fun arts and craft’s activities that you can do as a family, such as pottery painting.

Hopefully camping at either Twitchen House or Easewell Farm will provide you with the brilliant family friendly camping experience you are looking for.
