Unmissable London highlights you need to experience in February

London is a city that is full of culture, art and fun for all of the family. You just need to know where to find it! This February, there are so many events on that you need to come and experience them for yourself. So, get ready to start off your half-term with a bang! Here are the top highlights to see in London this coming February.

Magic Lantern Rave

Let’s start off this list with something fun for the adults (AKA an 18+ event). The Magic Lantern Rave is an amazing festival that will bring to life an array of amazing “hyper-colors” whilst you dance. Party all night long on the 28th February at 9 pm in Troxy to some of your favorite tunes. It’s the perfect place to go with friends.

Pancake Day

After leaving accommodation booked at the well-supplied Dorsett Hotel, City of London, why not see how the UK’s capital actually celebrates Lent? Enjoy the “Flippin’ Good Pancake races” at the Greenwich Market and maybe even some pancakes of your own! It’s a great way to raise some money for charity as well as indulge in a delicious treat.

Imagine Children’s Festival

If you are visiting London with your family, why not go to the Imagine Children’s Festival in South Bank? This is the perfect place to go with children under 12 years old. The festival includes music, theatre, reading and art. It has a lot of fun workshops, activities and events to inspire your kids, including fun trails and even a workshop all about The Hungry Caterpillar!

Better yet, the main aim of this festival is to create a writing project that involves a number of schools writing a different chapter of a story. The end result should be a book created by children that is available to buy. So, come on down and support all of the creative talent!

Plant Powered Expo

Have you been enjoying Veganuary? Well, you can continue rocking the lifestyle in February by checking out the Plant Powered Expo!  Try a taste of plant-based cooking and learn all about how to create amazing meals with simple, ethically-sourced products. There will also be a global food court where you can try vegan foods from around the world. By the time you leave, you will be practically at the point of bursting. So, make sure that you come with a very empty stomach.

St Martin-in-the-Fields concert

Do you love classical music? Well, on the 28th February, St Martin will be hosting an evening of classical music, including pieces from Beethoven and Mozart. It’s the perfect romantic evening for any couple looking to spend some time together. The Brandenburg Sinfonia and pianist Adam Johnson play beautifully, and you will love being able to relax in the beauty of the church.

Lightopia

This illuminated Eden will be taking place throughout the entire month of February. It will have a 3D light projection display combined with a lantern trail that will light up London’s darkness. Not only that, but there will be live music, acrobatic performances, food and drinks. It’s the perfect place to go with family and friends, especially if you are looking for something to do in the evening.
