Scene you like most and would never cut: There’s a very emotional scene in which the hero and heroine believe they are about to be romantically parted forever by duty and war. In this last goodbye, the mutual tenderness and self-sacrifice for the other’s sake broke my heart as I wrote it. More than a few readers have told me it made them cry.

Thing your heroine would never be caught dead doing/saying: “I can’t do it, so I won’t try.”

Your hero, is he a boxer or brief kind of guy: Commando. He’s very no frills.

Ancillary character you had the most fun with: Shock Denzell. That man constantly keeps me guessing what he’s going to do next.

Your heroine’s favorite hobby: Helping others. In the midst of war, danger, and death, she’s willing to give friends and loved ones virtually anything to help keep them safe and alive.

Your hero’s favorite hobby: Staring at Sabelle. He truly is completely in love with her.

What you think readers will like best about this book: I hope it’s the emotional connection between this star-crossed hero and heroine. Also some of the most intriguing paranormal world building I’ve put into this series thus far. And all the Doomsday Brethren themselves. I get a lot of mail about the guys.

The person that readers want you to write about but you haven’t yet: Shock. I get mail about him all the time. I can’t wait to see what that man has up his sleeve when it comes to love.

What’s next: The next book in the Doomsday Brethren series, scheduled to release November 2010, is tentatively titled ENTICE ME AT TWILIGHT.
