Are you ready to gamble?

Take a chance on man?

True Romance, Reader’s Entertainment Group, and Between Your Sheets are because Jason Santiago is a sure bet. This 5’11”, brown eyed, brown haired, oh-so-fit man hits the Jackpot when it comes to great looks and a big heart. This Mr. Romance 2007 currently lives in Las Vegas. He has a passion for soccer as well as romance and wants to make a difference wherever he goes in life. Here’s the scoop on what readers wanted to know about Jason.
We’ve heard it rumored that you are or were in the National Guard. Can you tell us about that? What motivated you to serve and how does it relate to your outlook on life and people?
Yes, I still am in the National Guard. I am currently on the Inactive Ready Reserve List. Meaning I am not serving my one weekend a month nor my two week summer training. I am on the IRR List until July of this year. I served for eight years and it was an amazing time. I have gotten the chance to experience many great things and have met some great people. I also had the chance to serve in the Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief.
A handful of my friends and I joined the service after 9/11. I was at work that day when it happened and my heart dropped down into my stomach. It was heart- wrenching to see the towers come down and also just knowing how many people lost family in that attack. Joining the service also had some other perks as in paying for school and great VA Loans as well.
I am a compassionate person, I care about peoples’ feelings and it really bothered me to know that so many hard-working, innocent people were working in those towers that perished that day. Life is a fragile thing, so try to be happy. Take care of yourself, and make the best of every situation.
How has being a Cover Model changed your life, for better and for worse?
Being a cover model has changed my life. It has impacted it in many positive ways. I have gotten the chance to meet many great people and it has given me a ton of exposure. I have always wanted to be a model and an actor. I love seeing the different covers that the cover artists create with my image on it. Some of my covers still blow my mind on how creative the cover artists can be. I have gotten some acting gigs out of this as well. I have done a book trailer for a book called Dangerous Games and now am in the process of setting up another gig.
Being a Romance Cover Model must have some affect on your romantic relationships. Do women expect more romance? Are you a romantic at heart? What is the most romantic thing you have done recently?
It does tend to have an affect on my relationships. Some don’t like me going to the conventions with all of the women there, and that is totally understandable. I love doing romantic things for my girlfriend. I am a romantic at heart, but at the same time I just love having fun with my lady. I love surprising her with flowers, different types of stuffed animals, and on special occasions jewelery and stuff like that. The most romantic thing I have done recently is… I bought my girlfriend a dozen red roses and a big teddy bear and he is holding a red and white heart that says LOVE on it and I draped a white-gold necklace with a diamond heart pendent around the heart that the bear is holding.
If you could play a character in a movie or one based on a real life person, who would that be?
I would love to be in a soap opera. That has been my dream for the longest time. If I had to chose a character to be in a movie, it would have to be Edward in the Twilight movies. I would love to be a lead character in an amazing movie.
Finally, if you could say one thing to everyone to help them in life, what would that be?
Treat everyone the way you want to be treated. Be respectful and kind. Also think positive and make the best of every situation–life is too short to sweat the small things.
And what does Jason what you to know about him?
I want everyone to know that I am very thankful for being a part of the romance industry. I really appreciate everything everyone has done for me. I want to be a big impact on peoples’ lives through the big screen. I would like to use this to network for myself as well and if anyone knows anyone that is in the acting industry please let them know I am highly interested. It has been a lifelong passion of mine and I want to make my family proud. They all know what I want in life and this is a big part of what I want. Thank you all so much for believing in me and having such a positive impact on my life.

Hi, Jason…fantastic interview. One of the things I love most about this industry is that the people in it, authors, industry professionals like yourself, readers - for the most part are truly nice individuals. Thanks for sharing with us. Wish I knew if you were on the cover of any of my books, but part of my pub’s branding for me? Cutting off the head of my hero on the cover.

Hello, Jason - You’re actually on the cover of one of my books, “What’s in a Name?” — and you walked me (along with a kazillion others) across the stage at RT in Orlando. It was great meeting you in person.

Hi Jason,
I enjoyed your interview because above all else, it shows what a good and caring person you are. To be a handsome young man and be considerate and compassionate is a very big plus. Good for you and don’t ever change. I have 2 sons who are Army Special Forces and their own lives have benefited from this. Thanks for the post Jason and I wish you much success in your endeavors.
