Since Halloween is next week, wouldn’t it be fun to plan a fantasy Halloween party with our favorite fictional characters (and by characters I mean men, because who are we kidding?) Because this is a Halloween party, I am going to limit our men to the supernatural beings. The contemporary and historical hunks are going to have to wait for the Valentine’s Day party.
First, I will have to lay down rules - all attendees will have to sign a disclaimer because I will not be responsible for any biting, clawing or ripping heads off and no shows of dominance. I will provide an assortment of beverages and snacks, as scary as that might be. Best of all, the sup’s won’t have to dress in costume because they already come with their own fangs, fur and wings. I think each character will need to be in charge of a different entertainment to keep the party going. Let’s plan the guest list with five of my favorite alpha males:
Vampire representative will be Crispin Russell aka, Bones (Jeaniene Frost Nighthuntress series) Bones loves to party, and with that English accent I could listen to him talk all night. Bones will be in charge of bobbing for apples but watch out ladies - those fangs are sharp and its hard to cover your neck when you are face first in water. Of course with the things Bones can do with those fangs, you may want him to take a bite.
Angel representative will be Raphael, (Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series.) Although Raphael is a little more on the serious side, even an archangel needs some unwind time. He will be in charge of taking guests for rides in the sky and later, if you get hot, his wings can fan you all night.
Shapeshifter representative will be Adam Hauptman (Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series.) Adam and some of his pack can come in their werewolf form and although not as docile as ponies, I think the guests may enjoy a wolf ride around the back yard. I will have to make sure there are no small animals lurking about, or you will be in for the ride of your life.
Demons representative will be Cadeon Woede (Kresely Cole‘s Immortals After Dark series). With those horns atop his head, he will be looking mighty fine indeed. Get in line girls, he has offered to stand still for a game of ring toss.
And from the unknown category - Jericho Barrons (Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series) I don‘t know what Barron‘s is but isn‘t that what we all want to find out?!? I don’t see Barron’s as much of a partier, so I think I will let him run the coat check. He can brood in a dark corner, but you know naughty things always happen in dark corners. Maybe I could coax a secret or two out of him?
Oh, this is shaping up to be a super fun party. So tell me, who would you invite to your fantasy Halloween party?

Wow, Bones for the vampire huh? As long and he brings his dirty sire Ian along, you can definatly count me in! Now, I know it’s males only, but what about Annette? She’s hot and let’s face it, Bones + Ian + Annette = a good time no matter which way you play. However, I would like to see a carpathian there… Like Lucian from Christine Feehan’s Dark Series. Mmm dark and tormented, uber old and knows how to please!

October 23rd, 2009 on 10:25 am

October 23rd, 2009 on 9:51 am
I too have not had a chance to read any of these books but I will definitely be at the party. Men who like to bite and a quicky. What more could a girl ask for. I definitely need to find some time to read.

Reyes is so sexy…he is my boyfriend too. We are going to have to work out a sharing plan
October 23rd, 2009 on 9:16 am
Can I invite Reyes from Ava Gray’s Skin Game? He’s not an immortal but he’s down with the paranormal. He’s my latest book boyfriend. I’ll make sure he behaves. Promise. *grin*
October 23rd, 2009 on 8:56 am
Nikki - I know - John Matthew. He is my #1 boyfriend!! Since I was only inviting one vampire, I thought Bones would be more fun to party with LOL. But John Matthew has my heart..LOL
And V’lane would definitely get the party going in a certain direction….
October 23rd, 2009 on 8:47 am
Mandi,
Must you forget our boyfriend and my husband, John Matthew (JR Ward). Also, we must invite V’Lane (KMM-Fever Series) for some “quickies.

October 23rd, 2009 on 8:12 am
Blodeuedd- Oh yes..Clay..we will need more than one pony - I mean wolf..to keep us entertained. Giddy up
Cecile - That is funny, because I haven’t read any of the guys you have mentioned
But please invite them all…I know you like your men (or should I say “sex on a stick”)
Heather - I love Jeremy..and I have massive lust for Bran!! Nice choice
October 23rd, 2009 on 8:08 am
Ooh..a ghost. How could I forget a ghost! Both of those are good choices
October 23rd, 2009 on 8:08 am
How fun! I am going to have to think about who I would invite, although honestly, I would love to invite Kelley Armstrong’s Jeremy and Patricia Briggs’ Sam and Bran to a sit down. What a great conversation.
October 23rd, 2009 on 8:08 am
Okay… I haven’t read any of this books yet… damn you… However… I do have one of Jeaniene Frost’s books. And I do have the first in the Mercy series by Patricia Briggs and I did recently purchase the first three in Kresely Cole‘s series.
Now for my own party… damn… How about all the men at my place!!! Devereux from Lynda Hilburn, all the Lord of the Underworld from Gena Showalter (just cuz I can not pick just one… I am a greedy hussy), all of Alexandra Ivy’s men from her Guardian Eterinty series, the men of the family from The Night series from Amanda Ashley… and damn my list can go on and on…. I am going “gather” together… I shall be a very long while… **wink wink** for this may take some time…
October 23rd, 2009 on 8:03 am
Hi Mandi
Oh I want to come to that party and have a wolfride. Can we invite Clay from Kelley Armstrongs books too, I am sure he can play nice with the other wolves *coughs* or not.
October 23rd, 2009 on 8:02 am
I would invite a ghost. No Halloween party can be without one I think. How about Ethan Munro (Cindy Miles’s Highland knight). Or Prospero ( Susan Carroll’s Midnight Bride) I’m not sure what they would do …
Look drop dead gorgeous or speak to guests in a hauntingly beautiful voice?!
October 23rd, 2009 on 7:06 am
Nice choice with the old school blood…gotta show the newbies what it really means to bite
And Erik is definitely invited.
October 23rd, 2009 on 6:49 am
Ooo, great game! Lemme think…
I would invite Stoker’s Dracula - gotta have some Old School blood in here (pun intended)
And Carmilla (equal opportunity neck biting)
And is it Varney who’s supposed to be based on Byron? If so, then him, too.
Oh, and Erik. The Phantom of the Opera isn’t exactly paranormal, but hey.
October 23rd, 2009 on 5:50 am
Oh Curran - good choice. He is definitely near the top of my list. Maybe he could bring along Raphael too
October 23rd, 2009 on 6:19 am
Oh, Mandi…good choices…I think Halloween is becomming my favorite holiday!
October 23rd, 2009 on 5:33 am
Oh I would definitely invite Curran from the Kate Daniel’s series. You suggested most of my supernatural heroes but I think he would be the icing on the cake for me
