Quick call-out
by morgan on Oct.02, 2009, under Ann Aguirre and Ilona Andrews
We have a lot of fans of both Ilona and Ann joining us this week. Thanks for visiting Babel Clash, and we hope that you continue to follow our geeky debate. All the comments are great, too! Keep it up.
For those of you who have noticed that only Ann’s title is listed as our feature book, please know that we’ll give Ilona equal treatment next week. Her new novel, On the Edge, will be our featured book for the second half of our conversation.
Also, we do have excerpts of both books for you to enjoy. Here you go…
Cover Unveiling
by morgan on Oct.01, 2009, under Ann Aguirre and Ilona Andrews
Ann, thank you for unveiling your cover here! It looks sharp, and I like it, even if it does look like it could be an image for Fast & the Furious 4. The supernatural is downplayed more than I’d expect. Maybe instead of tattooing the girl, the artist could add a flaming pentagram on the car’s hood or an “I Brake for Demons” bumper sticker?
Seriously, it’s a cool image, and thanks for sharing it with us. The Patricia Briggs quote helps to associate the series with UF.
I attribute much of the heroine / tattoo fixation to Briggs’ Mercy Thompson and the brilliant artwork of Dan Dos Santos.
And our next guests…
by morgan on Sep.28, 2009, under Ann Aguirre and Ilona Andrews
Our next featured guests are Ann Aguirre and Ilona Andrews. Ann is the author of the Sirantha Jax series, and the third volume in the series, Doubleblind, goes on-sale 9/29. Ilona is the author of the Kate Daniels series and new novel On the Edge also on-sale 9/29.
Tune in tomorrow to find out the topic of our next debate.
