Agree.  I can't see how an author could avoid putting something of themselves into what they write.  Cripes, I write non-fiction &amp; criticism and I still can't avoid having my personality creep into my work.

Also agree that it's not at all a good idea to try to analyze an author's work biographically.  How can I have any hope of knowing what's going through someone else's mind when half the time I don't even understand my own motivations.</description>
