Back to the Future and V

I caught a few minutes of Back to the Future II yesterday. In the future, there’s a fax machine in every home, and there’s no e-mail or internet. We see the challenge of near-future sci-fi… predicting future technology isn’t so easy. Anybody else have any favorite anachronisms from sci-fil films?
Did anyone else watch the pilot episode of the new “V”? I vaguely remember the original. The aliens ripping off their human faces to reveal their true reptilian faces freaked me out as a kid. I seriously had nightmares about it. This new show is shaping up for solid entertainment, but I’m not expecting any nightmares this time. It’s flashy and fun, but I miss some of the mystery and creepiness that came with the original.

How about all of the big disaster movies in the 90s, (such as Independence Day) where New York gets blown away but somehow the World Trade Center Towers are only ever partially damaged.

Well im still waiting for my flying car thats for sure. Either that or the world to either flood over or turn into a wasteland. Where are all the evil robots? Terminator, westworld, number 5, tron even had some evil computers. Im still waiting for my computer to up and revolt against me.
As for V im just not sure. Its definetly an intersting idea but we will see how well as the series goes on.

Haha, Zara, I was about to comment on the flying caar, myself.
I’m also wondering when we’re all going to start wearing silver clothing…as in, ALL of us.
