Lev, those are some excellent choices. Here are a few of my secret crushes.
Great fantasy fun: Richard A. Knaak’s Dragonrealm series. It’s a classic and tasty treat of dragon vs. wizard action. Thank you Pocket Books for bringing it back into print.
Favorite video game treat: As much as I’d love to be an engine of carnage and destruction on Gears of War or Halo, my secret video game crush is Worms 2 Armageddon. The comedic violence always reminds me of Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. My favorite weapons are the exploding banana bombs.
Best band for fantasy-inspired battle anthems: Hammerfall
