I hope that everyone had a fun and relaxing holiday weekend. With the holiday, it’s been a quiet weekend for debate here at Babel Clash, but I’m optimistic that it will pick up to full-steam this week with our new guest.
Babel Clash welcomes Robert J. Sawyer, author of FlashForward, WWW:Wake and the Neanderthal Parallax series. Look for FlashForward, the new ABC TV show, to debut on September 24.
Tune in tomorrow to find out our next topic.

This is Chris, China’s editor, and I’d like to thank Morgan for hosting China over the last couple of weeks. I’d also like to thank everyone who commented, read along, and/or generally took part in the conversation. China’s new book, THE CITY & THE CITY, is shorter than his other novels, uses smaller words, and is being more accepted by the mainstream– but like everything else he’s written, it’s firmly rooted in genre, and I’m glad that China got a chance to let his geek flag fly.
No doubt Robert Sawyer is going to lead a fascinating, exciting, idea-filled conversation moving forward– I’m looking forward to it.
